2008 Junttan PM20 Overhaul

Precast Piling Technologies selected Foundation Equipment Services, Inc to complete a full machine overhaul of their 2008 Junttan PM20 pile driving rig, an investment aimed at extending the life, reliability, and performance of one of their key production machines. The scope of work covered every major system on the unit including a complete engine overhaul, full winch overhauls, swing bearing and undercarriage refurbishment, a full cabin re-wire with upgraded controls, leader mast bronze wear slide upgrade, full leader re-hose and re-wire, structural inspections, hydraulic updates, and numerous other improvements. The goal was to return the PM20 to a like-new operating condition with modern reliability and field-ready durability.

After extensive testing and quality checks at our Green Cove Springs facility, the machine is now back in service and performing exceptionally well. Precast’s crew immediately noticed the difference with smoother operation, stronger pulling and driving power, quieter hydraulics, and significantly improved reliability across the board. With this overhaul, the PM20 has essentially been given a second life and is positioned for many more productive years of driving piles. This project showcases the depth of FES’s rebuild capability and our commitment to delivering long-term value for contractors who depend on their equipment every day.
